At MS Flyway Retrievers, we offer several different services that are listed below. Contact us with any questions you may have or to book a stay!
Gun Dog Training
•Basic Gun dog training starts with a foundation of obedience. Force fetch, confidence when marking on land and in water, and introducing birds are things your dog will be subject to in our program. Practical hunting scenarios is something we strive to recreate during a training session with your dog.
Completion of the basic gun dog program, (3-6 months) will ensure that your dog is steady and ready to retrieve birds it sees fall and deliver them to hand.
•Advanced Gun Dog will use the foundation learned during the Basic Gun Dog program along with new commands and a variety of complex drills. Blind retrieves and advanced marking will be well understood by your dog at the end of this program.
This transition will be expected to take 4-6 months to complete. Completion time varies from dog to dog.
Obedience Training
Your dog will complete our 6 week program which teaches sit, stay, here, heel and place. Of course we teach general manners like no jumping or nipping. We start taking dogs at 6 months old and older for this program. These commands will be taught on a leash and then off a leash. We use treat training and positive reinforcement to teach all commands. After your dog learns the commands, we will collar condition your dog with an e collar and reinforce commands.

Boarding
We welcome all dogs that are fully vaccinated to stay at our kennels. You have the choice of the climate controlled kennels, which are 3'x6'x6', or the regular kennels, which are 6'x6'x8'. All dogs will be loved on throughout the day with multiple opportunities to go outside to use the restroom and play in our large industrial grade fenced in airing yards.

Activites you can add on during their stay with us:
“The Fun Plunge”- This activity is a swim in our 2 acre pond.
“Wagging Tails Nature Trail”- This activity is a walk around our 17 acres fenced in property.
The cost is $15 per activity or $20 for both.
These activity sessions last between 20-30mins depending on the anergy level of the individual dog.
